It’s that time of year again…. Christmas! And what better way to personalise your gift to loved ones than a homemade Christmas Card! Here are some great (and easy!) craft card ideas for you to make with the kids this Christmas.
I don’t know about you, but I love receiving handmade items from the kids. These would make the perfect card for the grandparents… get creative with hand and finger prints and create a Christmas masterpiece!
One of the most magical parts of Christmas is Santa Claus. And what better way to celebrate his arrival then Breakfast with Santa and a Christmas Parade!
We loved celebrating the arrival of Santa Claus this year at Warriewood Square!
A special breakfast was held in the Christmas themed breakfast nook, with holiday favourites sung and a Christmas show welcoming the arrival of our favourite man in red….. Santa!
Reindeer and Christmas themed face painting, balloon twisting designs to please everyone and fun activities also added to the atmosphere and created an unforgettable breakfast with Santa.
With Santa leading the way, the parade set off! Our twirling dancers, fun Christmas Characters and excited children followed, the parade weaving through the centre towards Santa’s chair, where children could sit and talk to Santa or have their photo taken, a lovely end to a magical and memorable Christmas event.
As one guest commented – the day was ‘A beautiful memory for our family’.

You’re getting closer to your little one’s special day of the year. You’ve been privy to your soon-to-be one year older child’s many requests, including the latest toys and hosting a birthday party with all their friends.
In this day and age where iPads and Netflix reign supreme, one of the most difficult things is grasping the attention of children. When it comes to toys that keep kids entertained, there are many trends that come and go (Who remembers scoobies? Or more recently fidget spinners – which are being met with mixed reviews by parents and teachers alike).
Owner Daniela was in Melbourne at the beginning of the month, attending the Australian Body Art Awards convention where she brushed up (literally!) on her face and body painting skills! Every year Daniela attends local and international face painting workshops to learn the latest techniques and meet with the creative and talented artists who make up this industry. The international artists who attended the convention and conducted workshops were Sean Avram of Hyper Focus Art, Wolf Reicherter of Wolf’s Bodymagic, and Roxanne Rosa of Roxa Rosa.
After reading an article on the weekend about the trend for kids parties to become less traditional and more original, I couldn’t help but agree that this appears to be the way forward. Over the last few years, it is less about pass the parcel and pin the tail, and more about creating an individual “wow” factor tailored around the ‘guests of honours’ likes and passions.
